this is for personal use only so I won't bother with legalese

What do I collect?

UNIQUE AppIDs being tracked using the app

UNIQUE icons used, with no linking or association to what AppIDs is being tracked in conjunction with it

What does unique mean?

If person A and person B both track the same game for example "Fall Guys" - I will only get the AppID for Fall Guys and how many times it was being queried. Not who tracks it, not who how many times. What game, and how much.

Same goes to the icons really.
It also doesn't get shared with anyone.

There's no opt out because there's no user identifiable data being collected - if you're afraid your unreleased Steam game/app gets discovered - maybe don't track what's not public. That and I don't think the public steam api works for proper indev games, but I don't know the ins and outs of Steam so maybe it does.

Why do I collect these things?

Just collecting AppIDs to know what predefined icon to add to the app next, and collecting IconIDs to see what other cool icons there may be - for example icons someone set for an app because it exists or they made it. Do note I don't connect the two and two together for privacy reasons, so I'll have to go ahead and google the game and/or guess/go by the icon name :)
